About Me
Hi! I’m Katherine Winton. I am currently a student at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, and graduated from Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, CA in 2025. As a student I have always been fascinated by math and logic, which has led to my love for computer science. With the rise of new technological innovations, I have also focused heavily on the ethical impacts on technology, leading to an interest in public policy. Outside of the classroom, I dedicate myself to various extracurricular opportunities and have been able to grow as a leader and as a friend.
In high school, some activities I participated in included the school newspaper, TEDx, organizing the annual school hackathon and weekly tech club activities, leading campus ministry events, doing various forms of art, volunteering at my local senior center, and teaching kids how to code.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, drawing and painting, crocheting, and listening to music. One of my favorite books is Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, and some of my favorite music artists include Noah Kahan, Taylor Swift, and David Bowie. I also enjoy spending time with my family, my dog Sammi, and my friends.
